The Post - Review

review written by Declyn Raif

The Post, which was directed by Steven Spielberg, is a dramatic portrayal of the Washington Post’s release of the Pentagon Papers.

Meryl Streep & Tom Hanks are great entertainers and were instrumental in bringing Katherine Graham, the first female publisher of a major American Newspaper, and Ben Bradlee, a newspaper editor for the Washington Post, alive on the screen.

The story shows the importance of the press and the first amendment. Furthermore, this story helps support women empowerment through the eyes of Mrs. Graham who struggles in what those of the time called a “Man’s World.”
